Whenever I get ill or I am overun with tasks my skin tends to suffer as I don't do the long skincare routine that I normally do. So I have been trying to get my skin back to tip top condition and using masks and this will be the second mask I will review. I have to say that the first thing that hit me when I used this mask is that it is a nightmare to open but it has nice colourful packaging. Then immediately after that the next thing is that the ingredient list reads very chemical though as after water the next five ingredients are glycerin, betaine, pathenol, ammoium Acroloyldimethyltaurate/VP Copolymer and Phenoxyethanol. Rose extract is the thirteenth of sixteen (if my counting is correct) ingredients. Seeing so many chemical ingredients does make me worry about allergic reactions to be honest and it does irritate me a little that they promote that it contains rose extract when it is so low down the list. Pinkparcel is a monthly period box that contains beauty products and a couple of food/drink samples as well as tampons or sanitary towels. It is a good box in general but, unlike me, it is late most months and that is increasingly frustrating that for two out of three months it has been days late. Having to go out and get my own supplies really negates the reasoning behind getting this box. But, enough of that, here is what I got as extras in my box this month. The first item is a sheet mask from anatomicals called the botanical hydrating rose face mask. I have used sheet masks for over a year now and have only tried a couple of western ones, rather than loads of Korean sheet masks, and have found that they aren't as good in my limited experience.  But I am happy to try this mask and see what it is like. Anatomicals as a brand are a bit hit and miss for me but I like rose products so that is another plus. I may well use and review this in the next week or so. ...

I have to admit that when my box arrived I saw the outer box and thought it was a beautiful box but as soon as I opened it I saw the contents and that was where the festive feelings ended. How this is this the Christmas box I have no idea but to be honest as soon as I saw the contents I cancelled my subscription.

Anyone who has read my glossybox review from this month will have seen that I got a faulty puffy the eye bag slayer and I was going to contact them. Well I did and in reply they apologised and said they would send me a replacement and today I received my replacement product. They also sent me a little sorry card and a Murad clarifying mask. I received one the last time I had a faulty product and I am ever so happy to have another as I really like it. I also get two more chances to try the eye bag slayers and see if they can make any difference the other two times. Take one scary, tired mom. Add a product I got in this months glossybox by anatomicals. Add product to scary eye bags for half an hour, then take another picture... Cheeeese. ... And poof. Thirty minutes of YouTube watching later.. I see no real difference. Don't know whether it is only me it hasn't worked for but my eye bags are still nasty and the slayer makes my eyes feel a little more refreshed but that is all.  I love the anatomicals no bags allowed cream as it is very soothing but I don't think I would buy these patches again as £2 is a lot per use and I would expect more. Sorry mr anatomicals but that is my view. Maybe they can tell me if I did them wrong and someone can point out where it went wrong. My glossybox arrived today a few days after everyone else, who received theirs on Tuesday. Guess I was part of the second wave. So, the lovely Hermes lady delivered before nine today and I decided to do a review straight away as hubby is in bed and I am looking after Edward until one before we go out as hubby was on nights. Better late than never I have to admit after looking at the comments on Facebook I was really dreading this box as in general it has been badly received and none of the products in it can really be described as luxury, in the case of their boxes anyway. Just hoping I don't have the Vaseline tbh.  They were right in the fact that the box is bigger and glossier but what is inside my box? Glossier mag First thing I saw when opening the box was the glossy magazine. It does seem more luxe than normal and I hope they don't think that improving the magazine will get them the benefit of the doubt for having bad boxes from now on, because...

This is my January Love ME Beauty box. It actually arrived Saturday but I only collected it this morning. I actually selected it on the 5th so has been a while since I selected so am happy to receive it. I think I chose menu 2. These are the contents of the box and they fill them quite nicely. (Anyone who goes on facebook and gets a few beauty boxes might know that one box has got bigger but the contents have got less, so it is nice that in this case the contents fill the box. In my case that box is yet to be dispatched.) The first item in my box is the anatomicals you need a blooming shower! your nose smells rose body cleanser. It smells really nice but as I have only a bath I am unlikely to use it so it might go in my 'products to pass on' pile. It has a rrp of £3 which is great value for 250ml.
