My little energy box my little box January 2015

Image
Generally this is my favourite box but this month I have to admit the accessories aren't very good. Thankfully, the beauty products do compensate for the fact that the accessories aren't very good but I think that if they weren't as good as they were I would've cancelled this month. But I will show you what is in this box and then you can make your own mind up whether this box appeals to you or not. So here is what is in my little energy box:

Glossybox September 2014

Image
My glossybox this month came in a themed box as it was the Karen Millen special edition.  All in all I am happy with it, although I am cancelling Glossybox again as I much prefer Birchbox and want to try some of the new boxes. However, with the glossybox new cancellation policy I will be getting one more box as I didn't cancel before the 14th... grrrr.

Glamour magazine subscription gift

So, I decided to resub to Glamour magazine because my sub had ran out a while ago and I was waiting to see an offer that really jumped out at me this time. So when I saw I could get it for £9 for 12 edition plus a lucky bag I couldn't help but get excited and I was even more excited when my luckybox arrived as it was a huge bag that was full and heavy. So, what did I receive in my Luckybag and why I am so happy?

Telegraph winter beauty kit from Allboxedup

I saw this box on the moneysavingexpert.com forums and decided to go for it as the products were all high end and I really fancied the lipstick and nail varnish. I've wanted to try OPI for a while and I thought that this box would be a great way to do it as the box cost £18.95 including postage but in the meantime the OPI had been substituted and I found cut price OPI elsewhere so wasn't too fussed it had been swapped with nails inc. There were 7 products in this box and all of them had rrps of over £10 each so it was bargain and it was almost like you only paid for 2 products, if that. So what are the products in there? The first two products in the box are from Pecksniff and are a hand and body lotion and a bath and shower gel in the scent 'CALM'. To my nose I can smell cinnamon and they are unisex and both me and my hubby love the smell of the hand lotion. According to the bottle they have a scent of cedarwood, geranium and mandarin but whatever th...

Nails inc VIP membership.... too good a deal for me to ignore

Image
A few days ago I was looking through the deals boards on a few sites and came across the VIP membership in one on the threads and decided that I couldn't go wrong with getting a nail varnish inc. postage for £5 as I had wanted to try Nails inc. for a while but had yet to purchase a nail varnish and this persuaded me. Additionally benefits of this membership be found  here . Really great value in my opinion. When I signed up on Friday I was expecting to get this after Christmas as they said it would be second class delivery so I was amazed it came today, on Monday. As the nail varnish isn't selected by you I was concerned that I wouldn't like the colour but I really like the colour I received, which was Richmond Terrace. It is a very dark brown and a wonderful shade for the winter below. I also received the most recent catalogue from them and this has really nice products in it. Here is the swatch of my nails inc nail polish on a piece of paper as I ...

My top ten nail products at the moment

Image
For anyone who has read my posts before they are aware having any nails is a new prospect for me as I have bitten them since I was a baby but a few months ago I was able to stop that habit. A lot of that is down to being about to pretty my nails up as pretty as possible and initially it was done to nail varnish as I knew that if I bit them I would have to reapply and at the beginning I was terrible at applying nail varnish so I decided it was easier to not bite than apply more nail varnish. So, I decided to do a post about some of the products that have helped me to stop biting my nails and have made me happy when I am either wearing or using them. These are my top ten products and I will countdown then down below and explain why I love them so much. #10. This one might be odd but it is cotton buds/ Q tips. Great for small smudges around the nails and especially useful if just learning to paint your nails, granted most people learn a lot younger than at the age of 31. ...
