Orange and coral lips... Products I have tried 2014

Image
I always say I have fairly dark lips so I decided to show you my natural lip colour so you can see the difference that these lip products make so you can see what difference they make to me, although they may look different on you in different lights as you have different skin tone and natural lip colours. I have to admit that I rarely follow trends in anything but I am for once seeming to loving a trend in makeup and that is the emergence of a lot of orange and coral lip colours on the make up scene and since buying an orange lip colour when I was holiday up north at the beginning of this month my collection has increased and although I don't really have many I thought I would show you the 9 that I have.

Collective haul

I have broken my no buy and this close to my birthday I really can't be bothered to get back onto the horse again. I got my birthday money early from hubby so I got some products I want to try, either for my blog or my own personal use or through pure curiosity.  This was done over a few weeks and has some items from superdrug, Asda, yves Rocher, the body shop and a magazine freebie. I also have a few more items coming, including one huge purchase, but I want to clear this stuff from where it was so I am splitting my haul. My first items came from superdrug and are mostly bought for blogposts or through curiosity. From left to right I purchased: Tanya Burr lipgloss in 'Vampire Kiss' Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in 005 Crush Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 220 Showy Maybelline New York color tattoo 24hr in 35 On and on bronze. Vitamin E skincare Hot cloth cleanser with muslin cloth. I really wanted to try the hot cloth cleanser as miss ...

Glossybox February 2014

Image
My February glossybox came early morning, my Hermes lady is ace btw, and after last weeks ridiculous box I was looking forward to seeing if this one was as bad or if last months was unusually bad. The box is valentines themed, which is stupid as they knew we wouldn't get it until after valentines day. I like the box but I don't like how shiny it is as I preferred the matte boxes. But what did it look like inside. These are my products. To be honest it is a bit of an anticlimax but I love the packaging on the product on the right. I know I have the nail varnish already and won't use it and there are two eye products I can't use as my eyesight is very bad and the body shimmer don't appeal to me. You can't see it but there was also a Lindt milk chocolate bar in it, like the ones I got free in my asos orders, and I enjoyed that. But what were all the products. First is the Toni and Guy creative stick it up gum.  Really, g...

What's in my make up bag?

Image
I am using my Espa bag as a make up bag at the moment and it is very handy as it is just the right size. But what is inside it? The first product is my Dr. lipp original nipple balm for lips in a 15ml size. Although it is very waxy it is really great for sore lips and the waxy and stickiness decreases over time and leaves sore chapped lips feeling incredible. This came from my you beauty advent calendar. The second product is my slanted kabuki brush by the body shop. I use this for blending after I using my foundation brush and my blusher brush for my blusher. Like all body shop brushes it is incredibly soft and feels incredible quality for the price. This was a free gift from a magazine subscription. The third product is my body shop face & body brush that I use for my foundation. It has the same built in quality as my kabuki brush. I got this from the body shop before Christmas when everything was half price and it gives my foundation a more even appl...

Fragrance direct sale (non fragrance haul)

Image
I bought some nail varnishes from the fragrance direct website sale a few days after Christmas and they arrived today.I managed to get 9 nail varnishes and a color tattoo for under twenty pounds and I am quite happy about that. Here is my fragrance direct booty. I managed to get a lot of darker colours as this was were in the colour palette I was missing colours. Spot the Essie!!! Looks a bit out of place among the others tbh but I had never owned an Essie, although I will soon have a second from my youbeauty box any day now and that one is a repstyle one. I swatched all of them on a piece of paper to give basic colour information so I can only give you details of longevity for the ones I have used before. The first item is the Sally Hansen complete Salon Manicure in Haute Chocolate. This has a wide, densely packed paddle brush and the colour is a rich milk chocolate and great for autumn/winter nails. This cost me £1.49 in their sale. The second item is the Rimmel...

Glossybox December box 2013

Image
I really like this design of box as it is really festive. The paper is very nice too and I like that we got some say in this and the box. I have to admit when I opened my box I wasn't exactly wowed by this box as the first thing I saw was a razor. For this is would not really be a beauty item and it amused me that they see this as a beauty item. This time of the year no one will see my legs anyhow as I like them white and pink and not blue.... brrrrrrrr! The first item in my box is the Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care razor. To be honest I use disposable razors on a day to day basis so this is a bit of a gift to me as I don't tend to look at these types of razors as there are so many and I am easy confused. I like that this has aloe vera and vitamin E as my skin is easily irritated so I am careful with what I use. I am looking forward to using this to be honest, which is an odd thing to admit. The rrp of this is £6.49, which is comparable to...
