My holy grail products

Image
To the most part there is a constant turnover of the products in my house so when I do find a holy grail product (or product type in the case of one of these) it is rare.  But in the last six months, or so, I have found some so here they are:   Micellar Waters Garnier micellar waters I use these for my initial cleanse, I double cleanse most times before using a toner, and have found these applied on a large cotton pad are great for an initial cleanse whether or not I have been wearing makeup that day. I have tried a few brands and particularly enjoyed the Boots Botanics All Bright Micellar 3 in 1 Cleansing Solution as it gave a great healthy glow to my skin as well as the Garnier Micellar waters. I have tried pink topped waters ( Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water 400ml) and the green topped waters ( Garnier Skin Naturals Micellar Cleansing Water Combination & Sensitive Skin 400ml) from Garnier and have found the green less drying on the skin. ...

Day 12 advent calendars

Image
I hope you forgive me for being a little behind but we spent today and yesterday swapping two bedrooms in our house so Edward could get a big boy bedroom. So I had no internet on my company for two days so now I am catching up. And here I bring you yesterday's advent calendars.

Glamglow super mud clearing treatment (picture review)

Image
My hubby and son gave me this Gift Sexy Glowmud set for mothers day and as I have already reviewed youthmud on here I decided to do a supermud picture review too. The set came in a beautiful box. Inside the box are the two different masks and they are so beautiful in this box. The glamglow supermud comes in the silver and white tub. This has a net weight of 34g. The tub is very small but I only use about three fingers tips of this on my face and as you can see it is only slightly depleted after the two uses I had already done when I took this picture. There is probably at least ten to twenty uses in this tub. After immediate use I turn into camo girl. It dries really fast though and scares my son who hates the idea of my face being dirty. This is after thirty minutes of use. Spot where on my face I have skin issues. My nose has recently gone greasy for the first time in my life and ironically this all too obvious in this picture and shows ho...

Glamglow youthmud review

Image
First take one haggard mother.  After two days of hubby working days, seven until seven, I often look like this and it is truly scary what chasing after a toddler all day does to your energy levels and to your skin. Add the glamglow youthmud tinglexfoliate treatment mask and turn into camp girl. All read y for the army games I think.  I received it in  this  box. According to the youbeautydiscovery booklet this is a home mud treatment that has the effect of giving you camera ready super radiant skin.  I reserve judgement until I have used it though to see what effect it has on his haggard mother rather than the effect it has on celebrities, as I know this is a cult product in America. I also worry it may harm my sensitive skin as I have had issues with some products like the lush face masks. The ingredients are fairly easy to read, which is a bonus, with things like volcanic minerals, French sea clay and purified clay in...

Youbeautydiscovery February 2014

Image
My first box of February came this afternoon and I am over the moon. Last months youbeautydiscovery box didn't wow me.  But this month when the product preview zoomed into my inbox in the last few days of January I was over the moon and wrote a blogpost on here to tell you how excited I was about this months contents. Well here is my box and I can now show you the contents. I am not sure if it is because I am used to bigger boxes but they seem smaller. I really love these boxes though as they are ever so cute and dainty and would be great for jewellery. Lifting the magazine off and seeing the products also makes me very happy. A really great extra to have as I am the only person in my house that likes dark chocolate so no one else tries to steal any.  I might seem greedy but I am not repentant in the slightest. This months extras were a 35g bag of beyond dark moments of pleasure, hints of orange, and a 20ml sachet of Charles Worthing...
