Despite my whinge about the quick sell outs this month I did manage to secure a couple of items from the menu of youbeauty discovery this month as well as two extras. This is my box for May 2015. The first item in my box is an extra and it is a sample of Jimmy Choo Man eau de toilette. This is an odd extra in a box which will be bought predominantly by women for their own use but I am guessing that most people will pass it on to male member of their family or household. I don't think I will be wearing it though but will give it to Paul to wear. The second item in my box this month is the 100% natural vegetable fibre face cloth from TheKonjacSpongeCo. This is shaped in a vague angel shape (mine seems to be divebombing) and the packaging says that it is kinder to the skin than a standard muslin cloth. According to the write up on the back it can be used with or without cleanser for daily cleansing or to remove face masks, hot cleansers and waterproof makeup....

When the youbeautydiscovery menu dropped into my email this month I was completely over the moon. I found last months selection didn't really appeal but this months was amazing and it was hard to pick. I am always amazed you get so much for your £6.95 and this month had items that were all worth a good amount so it was a bargain.

Here are my empties for the month in one of my old birchbox bags. There isn't much and it is all from old beauty boxes. This is the organic Surge gentle cleansing lotion for all skin types. This smells strongly of rosemary and lemon and it was so gentle it didn't sting my eyes or upset my sensitive skin and it was great for removing even the most stubborn make up. I have another one in my stash and will use it after the holidays as I really enjoyed using it and it was very effective. This is the L'Occitane Essential Water and I really loved how tight it made my skin and how delicate the green tea scent is. I got this as a gift and I would probably buy it again although the price tag means it is a considered purchase. I thought this might be another interesting post for you as all as I am interested in other people day to day routines and thought I might disclose my own for you. This is my Birchbox Christmas box and I have now started to use it to contain the products I am currently using as it looks good on my bedside table and is large enough to contain everything I need it to. I am quite amazed it all fits in as it is not a huge box to keep it all in there. So, what am I currently using and what do I think of the items? This is my Tangle Teezer Compact Styler in the Metallic Gold Rush style. This is my go to hairbrush for my extremely long and thick hair as it doesn't yank on my hair and it is very ergonomic as it fits into the palm of my hand so it isn't cumbersome to use. My December box came today and I am very excited, despite knowing what is in it. The booklet, as pictured below, looks amazing this month as does the presentation of the box. I love the first day of the month as it means I can get to pick out my items for the youbeautydiscoverybox. We got a preview again this month, two days early on November the 29th, and that was great as I get to pick before I hit the site and have the possibility of getting confused.
