It seems to be an odd month for subscription boxes and the first box I got this month was lovelula which surprised me a little.  Normally it is a very good box but after receiving three boxes this I actually rate it over the other two.  Well I did until I looked more at the ingredients in this box. Here was what was in it:

I missed out on the September box from lookfantastic so when the October one came up for sale I couldn't say no as it gave great value with the first and was full of great products. Although this one was good I haven't rushed out to preorder november, who don't have a sub for these and can buy when you want, and not sure I will be getting it.

My glossybox arrived today a few days after everyone else, who received theirs on Tuesday. Guess I was part of the second wave. So, the lovely Hermes lady delivered before nine today and I decided to do a review straight away as hubby is in bed and I am looking after Edward until one before we go out as hubby was on nights. Better late than never I have to admit after looking at the comments on Facebook I was really dreading this box as in general it has been badly received and none of the products in it can really be described as luxury, in the case of their boxes anyway. Just hoping I don't have the Vaseline tbh.  They were right in the fact that the box is bigger and glossier but what is inside my box? Glossier mag First thing I saw when opening the box was the glossy magazine. It does seem more luxe than normal and I hope they don't think that improving the magazine will get them the benefit of the doubt for having bad boxes from now on, because...

Here are my empties for the month in one of my old birchbox bags. There isn't much and it is all from old beauty boxes. This is the organic Surge gentle cleansing lotion for all skin types. This smells strongly of rosemary and lemon and it was so gentle it didn't sting my eyes or upset my sensitive skin and it was great for removing even the most stubborn make up. I have another one in my stash and will use it after the holidays as I really enjoyed using it and it was very effective. This is the L'Occitane Essential Water and I really loved how tight it made my skin and how delicate the green tea scent is. I got this as a gift and I would probably buy it again although the price tag means it is a considered purchase. On the fifth day of advent Ciate gave to me: A 5ml sample pot of their nail varnish in encore! This shade is a light red with the faint presence of orange in it. Tbh when I look at them on my toes it is very similar to hopscotch that I got two days ago but is a more sedate and muted version of hopscotch. Sadly I can't show it to you as I painted my nails with my Leighton Denny nail varnish from yesterday, I have a post about painting them with it on here, but I can assure you it looks great but I won't show you my feet because I like you guys and they would scare you.
