Glossybox UK December 2014

Image
I have to admit that when my box arrived I saw the outer box and thought it was a beautiful box but as soon as I opened it I saw the contents and that was where the festive feelings ended. How this is this the Christmas box I have no idea but to be honest as soon as I saw the contents I cancelled my subscription.

Glossybox October 2014

This will be my last glossybox for a while but it is a fab box so at least I finish the subscription with a bang, not a whimper.

Glossybox uk august 2014

I received my Glossybox this week and to be honest I was looking forward to it as it is their third birthday box and there were six items but to be honest all that hype has led to a disappointing box.  It isn't really bad but my other boxes have beat it hands down this month.

Glossybox July 2014

My glossybox arrived on Monday and I was really looking forward to this as it was an American product box and I love American brands so was really looking forward to it. This is my second box back, excluding my free box, and I was really hoping it was as good as the first box and luckily I wasn't disappointed. But what was in it?

Bonus box with my June box offer (April Glossybox)

Image
I restarted my glossybox sub this month with a code and as part of the deal I received this box free and I just wanted to show you what I received. This was my free box and it was a Glossybox from April, probably from their stockpile of boxes. But what did I receive?

Glossybox June 2014

Image
Before I say anything I know I said I wouldn't return to Glossybox but when they sent me an email offering me a free box worth £30 if I re-signed up to monthly contract I couldn't resist especially as I had seen that the box this month was worth at least £45 and additionally I have dropped Love Me Beauty for the moment as their boxes seem to be going to downhill. But, anyway, enough of that, and back to my box. What did I get in my box?

Glossybox march 2014 (my last one)

Well, I finally decided to do this review. I received my last glossybox a few days ago via Royal Mail, which I hate, and I have now decided to do this review after brooding for a few days and procrastinating with my other 'projects'. I have to warn this isn't a good review so if you don't like negative nelly don't read on.

These are my February 2014 boxes.

Glossybox replacement products arrived.

Anyone who has read my glossybox review from this month will have seen that I got a faulty puffy the eye bag slayer and I was going to contact them. Well I did and in reply they apologised and said they would send me a replacement and today I received my replacement product. They also sent me a little sorry card and a Murad clarifying mask. I received one the last time I had a faulty product and I am ever so happy to have another as I really like it. I also get two more chances to try the eye bag slayers and see if they can make any difference the other two times. Thank you glossybox for your prompt treatment and I am really happy with the response and speed of postage. x-J-x

Glossybox January 2014

My glossybox arrived today a few days after everyone else, who received theirs on Tuesday. Guess I was part of the second wave. So, the lovely Hermes lady delivered before nine today and I decided to do a review straight away as hubby is in bed and I am looking after Edward until one before we go out as hubby was on nights. Better late than never I have to admit after looking at the comments on Facebook I was really dreading this box as in general it has been badly received and none of the products in it can really be described as luxury, in the case of their boxes anyway. Just hoping I don't have the Vaseline tbh.  They were right in the fact that the box is bigger and glossier but what is inside my box? Glossier mag First thing I saw when opening the box was the glossy magazine. It does seem more luxe than normal and I hope they don't think that improving the magazine will get them the benefit of the doubt for having bad boxes from now on, because...

Glossybox December box 2013

I really like this design of box as it is really festive. The paper is very nice too and I like that we got some say in this and the box. I have to admit when I opened my box I wasn't exactly wowed by this box as the first thing I saw was a razor. For this is would not really be a beauty item and it amused me that they see this as a beauty item. This time of the year no one will see my legs anyhow as I like them white and pink and not blue.... brrrrrrrr! The first item in my box is the Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Sensitive Care razor. To be honest I use disposable razors on a day to day basis so this is a bit of a gift to me as I don't tend to look at these types of razors as there are so many and I am easy confused. I like that this has aloe vera and vitamin E as my skin is easily irritated so I am careful with what I use. I am looking forward to using this to be honest, which is an odd thing to admit. The rrp of this is £6.49, which is comparable to...

Customer service with Glossybox, one win one loss

I've had an odd time with Glossybox the last few weeks. Had to contact them three times for a few issues and although two were resolved well the last one has irritated me slightly and today has been a mixed bag. First for the good news, my replacement Vichy Serums came today in the post and they managed to grab an extra surprise on the way. My Vichy samples were almost empty when I came to use them last week and they offered to send me some more and I am really happy that they arrived today. With them was the Murad Clarifying Mask in a 30g sample. Although I haven't used a skin mask in a while and I have dry rather than acne prone skin I had to try it so I did and it has made my skin really smooth and even after leaving it on for ten minutes it didn't leave an allergic reaction, which is a definite bonus. I'll enjoy using that and the full sized is very expensive so I couldn't use it any other way. Now, for the bad news. I don't think anything will hap...

Glossybox Limited Edition Christmas box 2013

Image
This is my Limited Edition Christmas Glossybox. It is one of their one off boxes and it arrived this morning. It has  items in it and with a discount I had it cost me £21.70 including postage. It looked really good and I wanted to try out the butter nail varnishes as I have heard good things about them and haven't used them since I started growing my nails as well as wanting to try the lip gloss and the conditioning shampoo. It is a rather beautiful box on the outside and I love the gold and white colour scheme. It was prettily wrapped but inside is what matters... right? These are the contents: This is a butter London 3 free nail laquer in Teetotal. I have put this on my fingers and I am not sure if I like the colour, leaning more on wanting to remove it to reapply the one I removed to put it on, and my husband doesn't like it. The application wasn't ideal either as it is quite thin but at least it dries fast. I had to do three coats to get a rich coat ...
