day nine multi brand advent calendars

Image
Day nine was another great win day but if you have watched my YouTube video you know that my big fat thumb managed to make one big mistake. However the company involved are sending out a new sample which is really good but I will get into that more when I get to the sample in question. Here are my day and nine items from my multibrand advent calendars.

ESPA advent calendar spend

Image
This is my ESPA order that I ordered yesterday with my voucher from my advent calendar. The voucher meant that I only had to pay for the postage so it was a good deal. Inside the box was 13g of the Nourishing Cleansing Balm in a really beautiful pot that has the trademark rose ESPA smell and I look forward to using and my two free samples which were 7ml of the Super Active Lift and Firm Moisturiser and 7ml of the 24 hour replenishing moisturiser. These samples will be great for taking away and the balm will be great to use as it will last a while as you get a lot of uses per gram of a balm opposed to a cream. So there is my ESPA order. How are you today? You tried and loved anything from ESPA? x-J-x

I received my half price advent calendar today...

Image
I got my half price advent calendar yesterday and was over the moon as a few of my products from the first one are running low. However, I wasn't so overjoyed to see a massive rip along the front of my box and along my box. I will have to contact them about this as their parcel carriers have done this in transit. I am just thankful it is well packaged inside so nothing was broken or burst, as that would have been a sticky mess. Yuk!   Here is the rip a little closer. Poor woman nearly got decapitated. Here is everything I got for £29.90. I have detailed them all in my previous advent posts so in this post I will only show the ones I especially loved using or the ones I needed desperately as they had nearly ran out. I am not saying the other products sucked but these are the products I have particularly looked forward to getting more of because I really loved using these the first time around and because they make getting another both well worth the money...

December empties

Image
Here are my empties for the month in one of my old birchbox bags. There isn't much and it is all from old beauty boxes. This is the organic Surge gentle cleansing lotion for all skin types. This smells strongly of rosemary and lemon and it was so gentle it didn't sting my eyes or upset my sensitive skin and it was great for removing even the most stubborn make up. I have another one in my stash and will use it after the holidays as I really enjoyed using it and it was very effective. This is the L'Occitane Essential Water and I really loved how tight it made my skin and how delicate the green tea scent is. I got this as a gift and I would probably buy it again although the price tag means it is a considered purchase. This is Mystic Diamond by eva diamond.I have extremely frizzy long hair and I quite enjoyed this product as it made my hair soft and shiny. The added Argan oil helped my hair a lot and i might use it again but at the moment I have other produc...

Products I am currently using and up to date verdicts on each one.

I thought this might be another interesting post for you as all as I am interested in other people day to day routines and thought I might disclose my own for you. This is my Birchbox Christmas box and I have now started to use it to contain the products I am currently using as it looks good on my bedside table and is large enough to contain everything I need it to. I am quite amazed it all fits in as it is not a huge box to keep it all in there. So, what am I currently using and what do I think of the items? This is my Tangle Teezer Compact Styler in the Metallic Gold Rush style. This is my go to hairbrush for my extremely long and thick hair as it doesn't yank on my hair and it is very ergonomic as it fits into the palm of my hand so it isn't cumbersome to use. It was also a bargain as it was in my first Youbeautydiscovery box which cost only £6.95 for this and another item. My review for that box is  here. I loved it in that review but now that I am no longe...

My ESPA order with my youbeauty gift voucher (Bargain even at full price.)

Image
I had a few issues with a mystery parcel yesterday when I received a card through my letterbox saying I had missed a parcel and I was here all day. I have a few on the go atm so I didn't know who it was, which was frustrating. Long story short it turned today and it was the ESPA ordered I ordered on the 3rd of this month,  and despite an issue with DPD I am over the moon that it turnned up so fast. The package was also rather aesthetically pleasing with black shredded paper and a really beautiful little snowflake coupon. I then spent two minutes chasing my toddler trying to get it back as the snowflake shape appealed to. I guess he liked it too much to even ask and just stole it instead. What a little monkey! I have to admit I wasn't amused when I lifted some packing material and saw these products and thought this was not my order and it was an error. That was until I realised these were the samples I selected at checkout as a free extra. At the moment ESPA allows ...

On the third day of advent... Ciate vs. Youbeautydiscovery

Image
On the third day of christmas my Ciate advent calendar gave to: A 5ml bottle of Ciate varnish in the shade 'Hopscotch'. Sadly, as you can see, I can't show you the shade as my nail wraps are still doing well and I love them but this shade is an orangey red and looks like it would be a great spring colour. On the 3rd day of advent my youbeautydiscovery box gave to me: A beautiful box of ESPA goodies. The box is a lovely touch and gives it a luxurious feeling. Inside the box was a £15 voucher to use on a purchase at espaskincare.com (I fancy the introductory collection) and there was also these two beautiful boxes. On the left is 4ml of the ESPA Optimal Skin ProSerum. According to the leaflet this advanced proserum helps brighten and even out your skin tone, enhances elasticity and firms as well as protecting against premature ageing. It has a nice smell and it applies well but I really wish it was applied by a dropper as there is the potential of me ...
