Here are my day 17 multi brand advent calendars. Day16 was very nice so I'm hoping that day 17 is even nicer. But here are the items that I received.

Glossybox October 2014

This will be my last glossybox for a while but it is a fab box so at least I finish the subscription with a bang, not a whimper.

Latest in beauty glamour beauty edit summer 2014 release

Image
I hve been eyeing this box up for a while and when they sent me a code to get ten percent off I definitely couldn't resist, especially as I have wanted to try the blusher for a while and the lipstick in this box, so I bought it. Latest in beauty is not really strictly a subscription box as the boxes have themes and you buy the ones that you are interested in. There are no minimum terms and the contents are always revealed before you buy so you know what you are getting. The glamour boxes are bought out multiple times in the year and have a good selection of beauty products. This one is the one released about a month ago and is still in stock as I type this and according to the card this has products worth £86.15 in it for the £16.95 price tag.

Orange and coral lips... Products I have tried 2014

Image
I always say I have fairly dark lips so I decided to show you my natural lip colour so you can see the difference that these lip products make so you can see what difference they make to me, although they may look different on you in different lights as you have different skin tone and natural lip colours. I have to admit that I rarely follow trends in anything but I am for once seeming to loving a trend in makeup and that is the emergence of a lot of orange and coral lip colours on the make up scene and since buying an orange lip colour when I was holiday up north at the beginning of this month my collection has increased and although I don't really have many I thought I would show you the 9 that I have.

What's in my make up bag?

Image
I am using my Espa bag as a make up bag at the moment and it is very handy as it is just the right size. But what is inside it? The first product is my Dr. lipp original nipple balm for lips in a 15ml size. Although it is very waxy it is really great for sore lips and the waxy and stickiness decreases over time and leaves sore chapped lips feeling incredible. This came from my you beauty advent calendar. The second product is my slanted kabuki brush by the body shop. I use this for blending after I using my foundation brush and my blusher brush for my blusher. Like all body shop brushes it is incredibly soft and feels incredible quality for the price. This was a free gift from a magazine subscription. The third product is my body shop face & body brush that I use for my foundation. It has the same built in quality as my kabuki brush. I got this from the body shop before Christmas when everything was half price and it gives my foundation a more even appl...

Boots haul, a repurchase from Amazon and a product I have jumped on the love train of...

Feeling ill with a cold at the moment and post Christmas blues so decided to shuttle off to Boots to cheer myself up and also buy some supplies to deal with my extremely sore throat that managed to terrorise my sleep last night and left me feeling rather weak today. I wanted to go there as well to buy some products after seeing them on youtube videos and wanted t try them out myself. So what did I buy today at Boots? The first product I wanted after seeing youtube videos was the Collection Lasting Perfection Ultimate Wear Concealer in the skin tone fair. I need a concealer to be very light to match my skin and this is perfection. I haven't tried it on my under eyes yet but I have tried it on my hand on a freckle and it disguises them well so it must be good. One of the main things I went in for was throat lozenges so I got these: Strepsils Orange with Vitamin C 100mg. I hope these give me some relief as my throat feels like I've been gargling razor blades. Ple...

Fragrance direct sale (non fragrance haul)

Image
I bought some nail varnishes from the fragrance direct website sale a few days after Christmas and they arrived today.I managed to get 9 nail varnishes and a color tattoo for under twenty pounds and I am quite happy about that. Here is my fragrance direct booty. I managed to get a lot of darker colours as this was were in the colour palette I was missing colours. Spot the Essie!!! Looks a bit out of place among the others tbh but I had never owned an Essie, although I will soon have a second from my youbeauty box any day now and that one is a repstyle one. I swatched all of them on a piece of paper to give basic colour information so I can only give you details of longevity for the ones I have used before. The first item is the Sally Hansen complete Salon Manicure in Haute Chocolate. This has a wide, densely packed paddle brush and the colour is a rich milk chocolate and great for autumn/winter nails. This cost me £1.49 in their sale. The second item is the Rimmel...

My top ten nail products at the moment

Image
For anyone who has read my posts before they are aware having any nails is a new prospect for me as I have bitten them since I was a baby but a few months ago I was able to stop that habit. A lot of that is down to being about to pretty my nails up as pretty as possible and initially it was done to nail varnish as I knew that if I bit them I would have to reapply and at the beginning I was terrible at applying nail varnish so I decided it was easier to not bite than apply more nail varnish. So, I decided to do a post about some of the products that have helped me to stop biting my nails and have made me happy when I am either wearing or using them. These are my top ten products and I will countdown then down below and explain why I love them so much. #10. This one might be odd but it is cotton buds/ Q tips. Great for small smudges around the nails and especially useful if just learning to paint your nails, granted most people learn a lot younger than at the age of 31. ...
